The United States Coastguard takes care of all the expenses with an obligation of five years active duty service for every cadet upon graduation. The school is situated on the banks of the Thames River and displays a 103-acre campus with beautiful infrastructure in it. United States Coast Guard Academy Admission

The academy utilizes an easy online application process that is free and easy to understand. A candidate is eligible to apply if he or she meets the following requirements.

  • The candidate must be a U.S. citizen of sound moral character.
  • Unmarried with no dependants or financial debt.
  • 17-22 years of age on July 1 of the year of entry.
  • The candidate must be a high school graduate.

Once an eligible application is received the candidate is invited to attend a series of exams to get selected for the United States Coast Guard Academy. Unlike other service academies, admission to United States Coast Guard Academy depends completely on merit and does not require a congressional nomination.
