Chicago Military Academy Acedmics

Chicago Military Academy offers classes in general subjects like Compute Science, English, Fine Arts, Mathematics and Science, along with advanced placement courses. The curriculum is inspired from the education methods used in colleges and universities. Students are trained for success and are prepared well to handle the rigors of a college life ahead.

Students learn in a disciplined and safe atmosphere free from distractions. The student to teacher ratio is maintained at 17:1 to enable face-to-face interaction and individualized attention. Struggling students are spotted out very quickly so that additional assistance can be provided.

Physical and mental fitness is considered as important as academic excellence at the Chicago Military Academy. Hence, the mandatory JROTC program makes sure that the students are offered ample basic physical training and military education. Chicago Military Academy extra activites

Along with the JROTC program, the school offers a wide range of athletics and activities for students to choose from. Top class coaching and great opportunities are offered in sports like football, volleyball, baseball, soccer, basketball and fencing. Students can choose the sport of their interest and gain excellence in the field. Educational activities like Academic Decathlon, Math club and Beta club are also held at school to enhance hidden talents in the students.

Admissions

Admissions are currently open and you can apply online by visiting on www.apply.cps.edu. You can also choose to make a paper application by filling out a form at one of the CPS Military Academy Open House Sessions. Once filled, you need to mail in the paper application at the Office of Access and Enrollment, Attn: SEHS/MA Application, 125 S. Clark St., 10th Floor, Chicago, IL 60603.

The following are the eligibility requirements for a student applying for 9th grade.

  • Standardized Testing minimum requirements to be released soon
  • Must be absent less than 10 days during previous school year
  • A/B grade point average
  • Must have good conduct
  • Must be a resident of the City of Chicago
  • Must be compliant with school uniform policy
