Sprawled over an area of 100 acres, the Howe Military School has an excellent infrastructure. Though the campus of the school dates back to 1884, it provides a lot of space for various athletic activities.


The Howe Military School was previously known as Howe Grammar School. The school was built in 1884 on the estate of John B. Howe after his death. The school started with two boys and later on, the Howe Grammar School became a military-style school in 1895 and came to be known as Howe Military School. Later, in 1988, the school even began admitting girls.

The Howe Military School has a great student-teacher ratio which helps in the one-on-one interaction of students and teacher. A normal middle school curriculum is followed by the students of classes 7th and 8th. The Potential Achievement Rating (PAR) system encourages students to achieve measurable academic goals. Promotion of rank and other privileges are a result of attaining the PAR goals.

Summer Camp:

Boys of ages nine to fifteen get to attend a summer camp for 2-3 weeks held at the Howe Military School. The camp is organized by the American Camp Association (ACA) and is located on the Cedar Lake. Canoeing, horseback riding, archery, fishing, sailing, rifle, LEGO robotics, SCUBA and many other activities are carried out at the camp. Apart from these athletic activities, leadership and confidence building activities are also given a lot of importance.


Howe Military School Atheletics

A wide range of sports activities is offered by the Howe Military School. Football, soccer, basketball, baseball are amongst the eleven different sports choices present before the students. They can take up any of these sports and are motivated to give their best. Howe also has a nationally ranked rifle team.

Clubs and Activities:

The different clubs include history club, boy scouts, drama club, choir, color guard, debate team and much more. The students can choose a club of their interest and take part in the activities that follow.
