The Marine Military Academy was established in the year 1965. The site of the college was initially the Harlingen Army Airfield. This later operated as Harlingen Air Force Base until the decade of the early 1960s. Today, the infrastructure of the college showcases minimal buildings of the original structure. Novel facilities have been structured for the optimal well-being and growth of the students.

Campus
The college covers am enormous area of 142 acres in Harlingen, Texas. The infrastructure presently caters to about 250 students. The campus is extremely accessible as it is barely 5 minutes from the largest airport in the area.

Admissions
Students can apply for admission by paying a nominal application fee of $100. Enrolments are conducted on first come first basis. The college authorities prefer campus visits for interaction with prospective candidates. In the absence of this meeting, the admission is granted after analyzing the contents of student file. The tuition fee and uniform fee altogether for entrants are $38,150. Enrolments in mid-term come at a lesser cost of $18, 350.

Academics

Marine Military Academy AcademicsThe college caters to high school curriculum, honors courses, and courses aiming towards advanced placements. Dual enrollment facility is also available for the students. Cadets are expected to earn 26 credits in totality. The faculty is very strict with regards to the attendance of tutorials and completion of assignments. The college does not allow any alternatives solutions with respect to the failure of examination. Learning is made effective by maintaining a student facilitator ratio of 1:8. The faculty endeavors to provide a learning environment that is devoid of distractions.

Athletics

Marine Military Academy AthleticsParticipation in athletic activities is mandatory for every cadet. The allotted time for the conduct of these activities is 4 to 5.30 pm on a daily basis. The infrastructure provides the facilities to participate in judo, boxing, rock climbing, cycling, and drill. The college students also participate in competitions held under the banner of Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools. However, participation is open to only students in grades 9 and above. Students in grade 8 can participate in games like volleyball, basketball, soccer, and field sports under the Valley Independent School Association Program. The fundamental objective behind mandatory athletic programs is to promote the spirit of camaraderie and boost physical strength.
