San Marcos Baptist Academy also referred to as San Marcos Academy has been furnishing exemplary work in the field of education since the year 1907. As one of the oldest residential educational institutions in Texas, this academy endeavors to nurture young talent on the path laid down by Christian ethics. The school functions under the umbrella of the Baptist General Convention of Texas.  The academy welcomes boy and girl students for enrollment in grades 7 to 12 from across the globe. History
The school was founded by the Southwest Texas Baptist Conference in the year 1907. The funds for the establishment were raised by the residents of San Marcos. The school commenced its journey under the dynamic leadership of James Milton Carroll. In the inception year itself, the school enrolled 200 students. In the year 1911, the academy came under the administrative purview of the Baptist General Convention of Texas. The school has been operating from its present location since 1979.  The institution accepts students following varied religious beliefs. Chapel services are kept optional for students enrolled in day and boarding programs.

Campus
The campus of this prestigious Baptist academy covers an enormous area of more than 200 acres in Texas Hill Country. The location has brilliant scenic value surrounded by nature and wild life. The foyer area at the academy is the cardinal site of social interactions between the students and imminent personalities from the outer world. In 2014, the Jamail Center was established to house the sport and other extra-curricular activities. The Sodexho cafeteria offers healthy and delicious food to the faculty and students at an extremely reasonable price.

Admissions
San Marcos Academy is open for admission all through the annual year. The semesters commence in fall and spring. All applications are treated at par without any bias with respect to religion or nationality. International candidates are also given equal importance. However, it is advisable for them to apply early so as to gain time to procure the mandatory F-1 Visa. Applications can be filled with the help of online contact form. The tuition fee charges for boarding students are about $31,500 and day scholars is approximately $9828. These charges do not include cost of books, uniforms and other additional requisites.
